Laguna

La Laguna è un delicato ma potente equilibrio di terre che compaiono e scompaiono mosse dalle maree, di temporali che smuovono acque profonde, di giornate limpide di giornate limpide che calmano la superficie.
A Venezia ho messo per la prima volta le mani nella porcellana. 

Questa collezione è il frutto dei primi esperimenti con questa terra a me nuova, fatta di forme fluide come l’acqua, di texture irregolari come mosse dal vento e di richiami ad alghe e pesci che abitano questi luoghi.
I colori sono quelli che i miei occhi ricordano, quando penso alla Laguna, alle sue albe, ai suoi riflessi.

The Lagoon is a delicate yet powerful balance of lands that appear and disappear, moved by the tides, of storms that stir deep waters, of clear days that calm the surface.
In Venice, I put my hands into porcelain for the first time.

This collection is the result of my initial experiments with this new material, made of fluid shapes as water is, irregular textures as if moved by the wind, and of references to the algae and fish that inhabit these places.
The colours are those my eyes remember when I think of the Lagoon, its sunrises, and its reflections.
